| Bio: |   Hey, what’s up? :D I’m a geeky, spacey, mostly solitary person, with a weakness for shiny things, Asian food, robots, space rock, and old-old-old-school manga (as in 40’s-70’s era). I collect things with a squid/octopi/mushroom/alien/cutesy science theme. I take pictures of old buildings. I lurk in the backs of libraries reading ancient medical textbooks and anything from the science section I can get my hands on. I wear used clothing from dubious origins. I do what I must because I can. At the moment, I am somewhat-gainfully employed as a lab assistant, but that will sadly come to an end in a few months, and I will say that I’ll miss having a hippie biology professor for a boss. When I grow up, I think I want to be a science fiction author. I think I can say that I’m a fairly intellectual person (in my interests, at least. I’m the first to admit that I’m a total ditz), no matter what the series of incomplete educational strata behind me might lead you to assume. Currently, I’m some strange cross between a high school dropout and a college dropout. But hey, at least I’m exiting the latter with enough credits to gain a diploma for the former without actually having to finish it. Not that any of this matters to you (or me) at all. I’m highly interested in comics and animation of all national origins. I think the melding of words and images to tell a good story takes a lot of talent and is just plain neat. My favorite manga artist/author is Osamu Tezuka. His art style is gorgeous and I’m awed at how he did so many completely different things and made each and every one of them at very least fall within the range of amazing. Another major hobby of mine is creating things. As of now, I know at least the basics of photography, writing, drawing, painting, sculpture, metalsmithing, casting, and knitting. I would like to learn bead making, wood carving, chain making, and glassblowing, along with becoming better at what I already know how to do. When I have a better paying job, I’ll probably buy my own tools, thus gaining the ability to teach myself more things about… More things. Aside from that, I like playing with my pets, researching things that interest me, trying new things, reading a healthy mix of fiction and non-fiction, collecting music of all types, playing tons of video games, staying up to bizarre hours, putting together costumes for Halloween/Otakon/any event that excuses it, and going on all kinds of adventures on foot that possibly involve train tracks. I love having fun and squeezing all that I can out of life. So I guess that’s it, or at least all I can think of.
